still here!

okay, luckily I'm not the only one who hasn't been posting a lot lately, although I think I'm way overdue! But like Rachel says, I don't know what to write about, so.......

It was beautiful weather yesterday and today. I sat outside on my balcony for lunch today and just got back from a bike ride after delivering newsletters for AB. And after a few weeks of cool, rainy days, I'm happy to wear summer clothes again!

I saw my lawyer last week about my immigration problems. We have a hearing with the judge in two weeks to present our case and then 4-6 weeks after that, he will make his decision. If he says that immigration made the right decision then I have a matter of weeks to leave. If he says they have to look at my case again, I can stay until they do that and make another decision. Which (based on their track record) will probably take months! I'm starting to go just a little crazy with all the waiting and not knowing!

John's been gone for two weeks, (he's back tomorrow) so as quite often happens just before he gets back, I'm feeling a little lazy. There are some projects I could work on, but I need to talk to him first. I also have a volleyball game tonight (not competition, just a 'fun' game), but I need to leave work on time.

I'm thinking of going to Antwerp to their really wonderful cinema tomorrow night. One of the interns has a meeting with a youth group and she doesn't really want to go by herself. So I told her I might take her and then afterwards we could go see a movie. The theaters here are wonderful...big seats, lots of room...and you can pick all the candies you like best!

We've been remodeling the building where I work and we picked out paint colours for the main room yesterday. The walls will be a really light brown, with a darker brown trim for the window frames. We spent two hours this week finally emptying the room (it's been 'being emptied' for the last four months); hopefully this weekend some guys can start laying the floor and next week we'll start painting. Monday is also a holiday here (Pentecost) so that might be a painting day.

Well that's enough ramblings for today.
