what did i cook?
I was going to say what I cooked, in case anyone was interested. But then I posted too fast and forgot.
Sunday - spaghetti with peppers, onions, garlic, ground beef, tomatoes and tomato sauce
Monday - rice with stirfried vegetables (zucchini, eggplant, peppers, onion, mushrooms)
Tuesday - macaroni with peppers, tomatoes, leeks and tuna
Wednesday - fresh tomatoes and peppers, sausages on the barbeque
Thursday - refried beans in tortillas
Friday - taco salad
Saturday - warm baguettes with combinations of cheese, ham and tomato
I had very few complaints about what I cooked, but then I wasn't very sympathetic either. My attitude was very much "here it is, eat it, if you don't like it, too bad". I did buy nice things for the kids as well though. They had snacks every night (chips, drinks, cookies, salty stuff) and lots of fresh fruit whenever they wanted to grab it. Yogurt for dessert twice (European yogurt is not the same as American yogurt and here it's more of a dessert). One night they even got really delicious German cookies/chocolate bars.
